Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information the Quartzo app (“Quartzo”, “the app”) handles on iPhone, iPad and Mac, where it is stored and who can see it.
The short version
- There is no account to create, and Quartzo never asks for your bank credentials or connects to your bank.
- Your financial data — wallets, transactions, categories, budgets and attachments — is stored on your devices and in your private iCloud account. The developer cannot access it.
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports help improve the app. They do not include your financial records.
Your financial data
Everything you enter in Quartzo — wallets, transactions, amounts, categories, budgets, notes, reminders, company logos you choose and attached images such as receipts — is saved on your device. If iCloud is enabled, it is synchronized through Apple's CloudKit to a private container in your own iCloud account so it appears on your other Apple devices.
This data is protected by Apple's security and encryption. Only you can access it; it is never sent to servers operated by the developer. You can delete it at any time from the app's settings, or by removing the app's data from your iCloud account.
Backups you export from the app are files that you control: they are saved wherever you choose and are not uploaded anywhere by Quartzo.
Face ID, Touch ID and notifications
If you enable the app lock, authentication is handled entirely by iOS / macOS. Quartzo only receives a “success” or “failure” result and never has access to your biometric data.
Bill reminders and budget alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device.
Third-party services
Quartzo uses a small number of services to work properly. None of them receive your transactions, balances or other financial records.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google). Collect anonymous usage events (for example, which screens are opened) and crash reports with technical details such as device model, operating system version and app state at the moment of a crash. This information is used only to understand how the app is used, fix bugs and improve stability. Firebase Remote Config is used to enable or disable features remotely.
- RevenueCat. Processes in-app purchases of Quartzo Pro. It receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase history from the App Store. Payments are handled by Apple; Quartzo never sees your payment details.
- Brandfetch. When you search for a company logo, the search term you type is sent to Brandfetch to find matching brands, and the logo images are downloaded from its servers.
- Exchange rates. To convert amounts between currencies, the app downloads public exchange-rate tables. Only currency codes are requested; no personal information is sent.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
Children
Quartzo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
